Even before we became faculty members, I still remember when I first came to IIT Kanpur in the EE department, I remember Professor Sharan mentioning about him and how the books that he had written on Fortran and other subjects. So that is my memory about him.
And of course, as was mentioned, he has started a whole field, today whenever we talk about computing, anywhere in the world people think about Indians and it is remarkable that such a person like Professor Rajaraman has initiated this whole thing, especially the teaching of computer science; it made it possible.
So my memories, my respects to him, his memories and whatever he has contributed, thank you.
