I was a student at IIT Kanpur, in the EE department, 1973-78 and as Prof. Somnath Biwas said, we had TA306 in the 3rd year. And, it had 3 components–one was numerical analysis taught by R.Shankar and analog computers and Fortran course. So, it had 3 textbooks and they were all written by Professor Rajaraman and for a batch of course it was written in 1 year half of the batch was in 1 week and the other half was in 2 weeks.
So, that is and Professor Rajaramman taught us Fortran course in lectures That was my experience being in his class. Prof. R. Shankar was known for injecting humour in his class and we really enjoyed and he started the course and we were looking forward to having Professor Rajaramman to take over. … So, that's all I can say about my interaction Somebody told me that Professor P. R. K. Rao did his PhD with Dr. Rajaramman at IIT Kanpur and I did my B.Tech project with P. R. K. Rao and P. R. K. Rao instructed me So, that's all Thank you.
